Parking Day PHL 2018, September 21st, 2018, 8:30 am to 4:30 pm
Free Event
PARK(ing) Day PHL, which is held annually on the third Friday of September, provides an opportunity to explore how public spaces could be better designed to serve us all. Throughout the streets of Philadelphia, parking spaces on the street will be transformed into mini "parklets". These parklets will allow people to better understand how much space in the city is given over to automobiles (Philly has 3.7 parking spaces PER HOUSEHOLD) and invite the visitors to engage with cleverly designed, temporary public spaces.
