RISING TALENT AWARDS FRANCE 2023 A panorama of the young French design scene.

After editions highlighting Lebanon, the United States, Japan, the Netherlands, and recently Spain, thus drawing a map of emerging designs worldwide, the Rising Talent Awards are returning to France.

The jury, chaired by designer Philippe Starck, has selected seven talents to be showcased at the next edition of Maison&Objet, from September 7 to 11, 2023.

Inscribed in a double filiation with the history of the decorative arts and the "industrial arts", Made-in-France-Design makes its young talents shine well beyond the country's borders; and with it, an exceptional know-how to which is added a creativity imbued with freedom and a certain taste for storytelling.

While consumers' desires and designers' practices seem to be converging on a large scale to meet universalized needs, the particularities of the French ecosystem remain or are being strengthened thanks to the energy of a new generation of designers determined to put tradition at the service of progress.

Placed under the Presidency of the creator Philippe Starck, the jury of this edition is thus composed of Stéphane Galerneau, President of Ateliers d'Art de France; Isabelle Dubern, Co-Founder of The Invisible Collection; Lauriane Duriez, Head of the Office of Design, Fashion and Crafts and Director of Ateliers de Paris; Alexis Georgacopoulos, Director of the École cantonale d'art de Lausanne (ECAL); Hervé Lemoine, President of the Mobilier national; Constance Rubini, Director of the madd-Bordeaux and Design Curator; and Emmanuel Tibloux, Director of the École Nationale Supérieure des Arts Décoratifs (EnsAD).

Each edition of Maison&Objet is an opportunity to showcase new faces in international design. Maison&Objet maps out the future of design and its protagonists. The event will take place in Paris from September 7 to 11, 2023.
