DesignHeure makes French contemporary lighting solutions accessible in US market
Before the official US launch in 2016, DESIGNHEURE creations made their first voyage over the Atlantic in 2008, when the Philadelphia Museum of Art and Museum of Contemporary Art in Chicago purchased lighting solutions. Fast forward to today, DESIGNHEURE productions brighten hotel lobbies, corporate offices, and a vast range of retail and restaurant spaces across the country. Prominent companies such as Hilton, Marriot's Renaissance, Hyatt Regency, Netflix, Microsoft, JP Morgan, J. Crew, and more invest in DESIGNHEURE lighting.
Jean-Baptiste and Bénédicte Collod are the husband-and-wife team behind DESIGNHEURE.
Both were already successful in their career paths in large multinational corporations and were looking for a new corporate and creative challenge, reilluminating their passion for business. In 2005, they created DESIGNHEURE in Sète, in the French Mediterranian Rivera.
"Jean-Baptiste and I are former executives of large groups with solid managerial, financial, technical, and legal skills," says Bénédicte. "When Jean-Baptiste was appointed to the South, after careful consideration, we wanted to take the risk of setting up our own business."
Their purpose was to be innovative in creating a link between the French industry and designers.
